When Five Locals with Different Nationalities Come Together with a Shared F&B Dream
It all began on an evening atop a rooftop terrace in Geylang. Five residents, each from a different corner of the world, yet all calling Singapore home, found themselves in conversation at a party. What started as small talk quickly uncovered a shared dream - to open a bar. But not just any bar…
They envisioned something beyond the usual watering hole or bustling hawker. They dreamt of a contemporary social space - welcoming, inclusive, and deeply rooted in the local community. A place where conversations thrive and connections are made.
To them, being ‘local’ isn’t solely about birthplace or nationality. It’s about embracing and supporting the neighbourhood you live in, wherever you may come from. Their shared passion and diverse backgrounds have given rise to a unique venture. One that reflects the vibrant tapestry of their chosen home. A heartfelt contribution to the area they have grown accustomed to and adore, and a tribute to the spirit of community.
And so, The Tuckshop Assembly was born. A space made by locals, for locals.
